Post: Top 10 Podcast Recommendations for Business and Real Estate

Being a mom of three, a business owner, and a full-time urgent care provider with two other part-time jobs, my days are packed. Finding quiet time to read a book is challenging, so I’ve fallen in love with listening to podcasts to keep learning and honing my skills. Podcasts fit seamlessly into my busy schedule; I can listen on my way to work while replying to emails or sorting through lead submissions. I also tune in during household chores or while exercising.

The flexibility of podcasting allows me to stay updated on business and real estate trends without missing a beat. From true crime and TV show recaps to business, real estate, finance, drama, and romance, there’s a podcast for everyone. My top picks are primarily about business or real estate, with a few guilty pleasures I’ll keep to myself. Here are my top 10 recommendations for anyone new to podcasting or looking for fresh content in real estate or business.

Business Podcast:

The How of Business- Start, Run, Grow a Small Business

  • Perfect for aspiring and established entrepreneurs, this podcast by Henry Lopez offers practical advice on starting, running, and growing a small business. It’s packed with advertising, marketing, mindset, and more tips.

Masters of Scale with Reid Hoffman

  • Reid Hoffman is the co-founder of LinkedIn, and this podcast focuses on the journeys of successful entrepreneurs and business owners and how they scaled their businesses. Some of the rapid-response shows get skipped since I don’t align with all of his views, but overall, most of their content is helpful. You will hear strategies for scaling businesses, tackling challenges, and making big decisions about your business.

The Ed Mylett Show

  • A lot of the ways I find new podcasts is from other podcasts. I found this show after falling in love with John Maxwell at a leadership conference this past year in April. After hearing John speak, I started listening to his podcast, Maxwell Leadership and heard Ed Mylett’s name tossed around a few times. There are over 430 episodes to listen to, of which I have only played about 30 of them. From what I have heard, I appreciate the wide range of topics this podcast brings, from leadership to health, business, and entrepreneurship.

The Side Hustle Show with Nick Loper

  • I can’t tell you how many side hustles I have wanted to start after listening to episodes of this podcast. Nick Loper is an entrepreneur who brings other entrepreneurs together to talk about their side hustles. A wide range of side hustles are discussed, from freelancing and e-commerce to real estate and passive income opportunities. You will hear actionable steps towards achieving financial independence by starting a side hustle.

Work-Life with Adam Grant

  • I have only been listening to this podcast since February after hearing about it from Peloton’s Robin Arzon. Hosted by psychologist Adam Grant, it explores various topics, including AI, productivity, burnout (which we know all too well in the medical field), hustle culture, overcoming toxicity in the workplace, and more.

Real Estate Podcast

BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast

  • This is likely the most well-known real estate podcast available. My real estate journey began with listening to BP. Although there are things about the new versions I don’t love, I still generally tune in most weeks to hear updates and stories from other investors and entrepreneurs in this space.

Get Creative with Pace Morby

  • This podcast inspires me to get creative (pun intended) with real estate investing. Pace Morby is an expert in creative finance and uses podcast episodes to feature other creative thinkers and share his stories and experiences. If you tune in here, you will hear new trends in real estate, how to find deals, how to use private money, how to build your portfolio, and much more.

Master Passive Income Real Estate Investing with Dustin Heiner

  • Dustin Heiner, a real estate investor who retired early through passive income, hosts this podcast. It covers building and growing passive income portfolios, rental properties, property management, and creative financing. Though sometimes salesy due to Heiner’s courses and conferences, it’s packed with valuable content.
